What are the Secure Project Platform and the staged project draft?

Take delivery of your work in a safe environment

The Secure Project Platform gives you, the project owner, a secure payment environment above all. On the Secure Project Platform the offer amount is held by ProjectWorm until every stage of the project is complete. Once the project is finished and you have taken delivery of the work, your approval is obtained and the money is sent to the freelancer.

Split the project into stages and get to the result step by step

With the Secure Project Platform you can split the project into stages and set a separate amount for each one. We therefore recommend defining large projects in several stages. That way you pay as each stage is completed rather than the whole project price at once. If you are not satisfied with the work in any stage you can reclaim your money, so you avoid paying out large sums and losing money and time.

Pay for your project in instalments

The Secure Project Platform lets you pay in instalments. Even work requiring large project budgets can be planned easily and paid off in instalments without strain.

What do I need to watch out for so my project is approved?

Every project is reviewed by ProjectWorm before publication, and you receive either a positive or a negative response. A few tips to focus on so your project is approved:

Prepare the content of your project carefully. Describe the work you want done in detail and in a way that leaves no open questions. If you do not want the project content to be public, submit it as a "Private Project". You will then receive proposals only from the freelancers you have selected.
Your project content may not include subjects prohibited under Turkish internet law (gambling, pornography, sexual content, prostitution and the like).
Your project must be a genuine project for work to be carried out. If the content is a job advertisement for salaried employment, or goods or services for sale or rent and similar, your project will be rejected (temporary freelance postings excepted).
Be sure to attach images and documents describing your project so it can be understood better.

What should I look at when choosing a freelancer?

First review the freelancer's profile in detail: the projects they have carried out on ProjectWorm and the reviews and ratings they have received. The freelancer you are looking at may have registered on projectworm.com only recently, so no reviews exist yet. If you are making a choice in that situation, examine their profile and portfolio especially carefully. If a freelancer's profile is thin, or they place no value on their reviews, the results of their projects may not be satisfactory either. That a freelancer maintains their profile carefully and has high reviews and ratings should therefore be an important criterion in your choice.

Always take the freelancer's class and ranking into account

The classification and ranking we produce professionally — based on earnings made on the website, ratings received, projects won, stages completed, gold memberships and recent activity — will help you choose a freelancer.

Freelancer classes run from highest to lowest quality as follows:

Class A: highest quality
Class B: high quality
Class C: medium quality
Class D, E: weak and low quality
Class F: freelancers with no quality classification (no assessable data has built up for them yet).

What is the advantage of signing a contract with the freelancer?

Although we protect your payments through the Secure Project Platform against problems that may arise on ProjectWorm, we recommend signing a contract with the freelancer before work begins so that your work is also protected legally.

Why is it important to communicate with the freelancer inside the website?

We recommend that you do not share e-mail addresses and telephone numbers with freelancers in your offers and messages, and in particular that you do not continue the project stages and project-related correspondence outside ProjectWorm. Written communication conducted through our system can be used as written evidence before legal bodies in the event of a dispute. The provisions of the membership agreement are applied to members found to be working outside the website.

What should I do if I have a dispute with the freelancer?

Disputes can create disadvantages in time and cost for both the project owner and the freelancer. For a fast and professional resolution it is preferable that both sides find common ground in good faith. If the problem cannot be resolved that way, you can refer the project concerned to ProjectWorm using the "Report a dispute" button. In that case the freelancer is contacted first so the situation can be understood. During this process ProjectWorm makes every effort within its means towards the best possible delivery of your work and the cooperation of the freelancer, and contacts both sides. If the problem cannot be solved, the rules on "disputes" are applied.

Why is it important to review and rate the freelancer?

Project owners look at the positive and negative reviews of a freelancer before choosing one. A freelancer's past experience matters to project owners. By writing a review and giving a rating after working together, you create a reference for project owners who work with the same freelancer after you. At the same time you contribute to our work on improving the quality of the working environment on ProjectWorm.

What should I watch out for when evaluating proposals?

Always compare the proposals that come in from freelancers. Thanks to the improved pages on projectworm.com you can do this easily. Take care to favour proposals from freelancers who are in a higher class on ProjectWorm, have high ratings and have received positive reviews. During your search, do not hesitate to decline proposals you do not wish to work with or do not like. Feedback — positive or negative — is good for both sides.

What can I do to receive more proposals?

When you submit a project, the project type you choose has a significant effect on the number of proposals you receive. If you choose "Premium Project" as the project type you can reach every freelancer in that category. On standard projects, only "Gold members" can submit proposals.

Can I request proposals from freelancer profiles I like?

Yes, you can. Using the freelancer search you can select the freelancer you want and send them a proposal invitation. You can reach as many freelancers as you like this way.

What should I do if my project is confidential and needs to be handled privately?

It is enough to mark the project as "Private" when you submit it. Only the freelancers you have chosen and invited can then see your project, and only they can send a proposal and view the details. The project stays closed to all other freelancers. This lets you have your confidential projects carried out privately and with peace of mind.
